It is the town on the mainland side of the ferry to Miyajima, in Hatsukaichi City. Almost every visitor passes through it, and many travelers now eat here instead of waiting until they reach the often-crowded island.
Getting there
- JR: get off at JR Miyajimaguchi Station on the Sanyo Line, then walk a few minutes to the ferry terminal.
- Tram: Hiroden Line 2 ends at Hiroden Miyajimaguchi Station, right by the ferry.
- Ferry: JR and Matsudai ferries both leave from Miyajimaguchi for the short crossing to Miyajima.
